Artist Call-out

Steakhouse Live in partnership with the Holloway Arts Festival are seeking an artist or company to join us at the Mayton and Hornsey Street Festivals in Holloway, London.

Following on from the success of last years’ Mayton Street Festival we are looking for artists with a Live Art practice who are interested in creating unusual and exciting work for a busy outdoor street party environment. This year’s festival theme is ‘Meet the Neighbours’. Engagement with this theme is welcomed.

The successful applicant will receive:
* A fee of £150
* Mentoring & feedback from Steakhouse Live
* A supported day long residency in the Live Art Development Agency’s Study Room
* The opportunity to perform alongside an exciting line up of artists

The work will be presented in Holloway, North London at the Hornsey Street Festival on Sunday 1 June 2014 from 1-5 pm and the Mayton Street Festival Saturday 7th June from 1- 5pm. Artists must be available to perform their piece on both dates.

Solo artists, companies, and artist collectives are all welcome to apply but please note that the fee cannot exceed £150.

To apply, please send your idea in no more than 300 words with a brief introduction to you and your work plus links to any documentation to contact@steakhouselive.co.uk by midday on 21 April 2014.
