For one day only, Steakhouse Live will take over Toynbee Studios with a bold programme of live performances ranging in duration from six minutes to six hours.

Slow Sunday is a day-long festival of performance showcasing artists working within multiple disciplines including performance art, theatre, visual art, cabaret, dance, drag and participatory performance.
The aim of Slow Sunday is to provide artists from all stages of their career a space to take risks and try something new in front of a friendly and supportive audience. Most of the work presented is in its early stages of development and ranges in duration from six minutes to six hours.
Audiences will be able to come and go as they please for most of the performances but some of the rooms will have a maximum capacity and there will be a one in, one out system in place if they get full.
It is a large programme spanning across one day, we recommend taking your time and making your own individual journey. Part of the joy of this type of event is that you get to curate your experience. You won’t see everything and thats ok.
A full timetable will be published online one week before the event for those of you that are desperate to know these things in advance.
Age limit – Antonio Branco & Riccardo T performance is 18+. All other performances are for all ages (with the shared understanding that the naked body is not by virtue of its presence explicit or gratuitous).
Tickets
Ticket prices are on sliding scale depending on income – £30/£20/18. Please pay the full price if you can as all ticket money goes directly towards paying the artists and making this event happen. BUY TICKETS

We are thrilled to announce that Les Urbaines have curated a platform of Swiss performance within the Slow Sunday programme. Showcasing work from Swiss based artists Tamara Alegre and Ceylan Öztrük.
Les Urbaines is a Swiss festival based in Lausanne that explores emerging and daring aesthetics mixing visual, sound-based and performative forms.

Following an open-call for artists who work with durational performance Steakhouse Live and ]performance s p a c e [ are supporting the artist Léann Herlihy in the development and presentation of new work at Slow Sunday.
]performance s p a c e [ cultivates time-based work that pushes the boundaries of body, time and space. They are committed to supporting challenging and difficult work that embraces performance art as an ever-evolving medium.
Home Live Art
Home Live Art and Steakhouse Live have teamed up to support Hastings based artist Samuel Lyon Spice present an element of their new work The Sock Project in London.
Home Live Art deliver live events across Hastings, the South East and beyond. They produce the annual Knotty Festival of Performance and Salty, a regular queer performance party in Hastings

Steakhouse Live are looking for volunteers for the event. Volunteer shifts will be maximum 5 hours and you will receive a ticket to the whole event so should still be able to see a lot of the work. Email Tink on steakhousevolunteers@gmail.com for more details.
